The kids were great on the trip, even holding hands on their "buggy ride" through the airport.
A snapshot of "Kellermann's" from the "grounds."
My BFF, the lady of the house, who spent much of our trip working. Here's some advice. Don't visit your BFF the week before she's to start her first job as a teacher. We only had half the fun we might have had if she wasn't so busy. Sorry Tracy. Notice the expertly constructed hat, made by her youngest son, who went on to make one of these for every person in the house, including Heather's daughter's babydoll. (Sadly, I didn't get any good photos of Heather or her family. Heather, if you have any, please send them for me to add to this collage.)
Gathering in the pool.
Because the pool is heated at the jets near the steps, the kids spent a lot of time hanging out there. They're no dummies.
Z, dancing in the bubbles.
The girls, conspiring to sneak popsicles before dinnertime while we're not looking.
The boys, looking sheepishly like they didn't just try to drown each other.
Chris's wrists were actually sore from all the pushing he did on the swings.
Z, swinging and doing her best Jodie Foster.
The Lil' Man, discovering how much he loves to ride. So what if it's pink?
On Wednesday, I made a little journey by myself down to NYC to hang out with some old friends. The evening began with some shockingly expensive cocktails and a gorgeous sunset on the roof of the Gansevoort Hotel with my friend Kelly.
And the night ended with...
me and Erich back at his apartment, dancing to Yaz and putting on wigs. Needless to say, I have other photos of the night, but they are dark and blurry, as was my head the next morning.
Ah, good times.

What a post of perfection...the pic of Z dancing in the bubbles is so very heartwarming, and then the Jodie Foster comment made my Diet Pepsi shoot out me nose, and the Yaz dancing? How better to end a night.
Sounds like a wonderful time. :)

Last week we paid a visit to Connecticut to visit my BFF of 23 years. She just moved into a new house that her sister Heather dubbed Kellermann's because it feels resortish, kinda like the one in our favorite cheesy 80s movie, Dirty Dancing. Here are a few of the week's highlights.

Z, always the cautious one, testing the waters.

Chris's BFF even came up to visit from Queens with his wife and their daughter, same age at the Lil' Man. I think the Lil' Man was crushin'.
