Because I can't turn down a challenge from Slouching Mom (oh how I respect her so), here is a story in 100 words or less.
She looked across the deli while eating her soup and noticed the old man’s hands trembling as he spooned his own. He sat with other men who seemed to share his DNA. His brothers? Sons? Nephews? The way they spoke little but shared a lot told her more than their physical similarities. She wanted to push her chair back, walk across the deli, reach across the table and steady the old man’s hand. She didn’t, of course. But for some reason, just noticing his trembling caused her to pause long enough to settle some of her own.
